In today’s market, where demand is outpacing supply in many regions of the country, pricing a house is one of the biggest challenges real estate professionals face. Sellers often want to price their home higher than recommended, and many agents go along with the idea to keep their clients happy. However, the best agents realize that telling the homeowner the truth is more important than getting the seller to like them.

Once upon a time, real estate listings were no more than facts about the number of bedrooms, square footage, and amenities like a pool and big backyard. Today, agents and homeowners are putting on their writers’ caps and telling compelling stories about properties for sale and using storytelling to help sell a house.

“The right description could be just what gets your buyer in the door,” says Denise Supplee, a Philadelphia-area real estate agent and co-founder of Spark Rental, an online tool for property owners and managers.

What Does Your Vacation Look Like?

Here in the states, the standards for work ethics are, we work and grind all year long to get to the one to four weeks of vacation that we have been so graciously allowed to accumulate and use, as long, as it fits inside the bosses timeline who is always weary of company needs.
   As we push through the work days, one after another, we get to a break or maybe lunch. Sometimes things at hand are what our mind contemplates, and once in a while, we drift off into the place of our last vacation which then becomes a moment of excitement, inspired by the thought of our next vacation. So many choices and places to choose from, where will we go? The world is the limit, right? Maybe to a warm, sandy, sunny beach somewhere on the coast. What if we could live there!  We could always head to the lodge and ski for a week and sit in front of the fire in the evenings and stay warm. This would be an awesome place to live! Would you live in a little cabin in the woods if you could?

Would you live in a little cabin in the woods if you could?  Let me re-phrase it.  Would you live off grid, in a cabin in the "dark zone" (one of the darkest places in the United States), where your neighbors are all acres away, only connected by the one lane road into the mountains?  I know a lot of people would!  It is absolutely beautiful and such a wholesome way to live.

This little cabin is actually located in Clark Fork, Idaho.  A small town, with a population of just 536 people, 3 miles from the Montana border and just about 35 miles east of Sandpoint.  Sandpoint is a great little lake town, which is now becoming a sprawling little city on beautiful Lake Pend Oreille.   Nearby is Scotchsmans Peak and miles and miles of trails for hiking, ATV's and hunting with the all natural Trestle and Lightning Creek nearby, to name a few.  This whole area is surrounded by the beautiful Selkirk mountains and is truly an outdoorsman haven.  ...
