May is coming to an end, schools are almost out, and summer officially begins! That means one thing... home selling season is HERE! With the kids home from school and vacations are planned, both buyers and sellers are ready to enter the market as the weather heats up. So now that the season is here, what do you do to make your home stand out amongst the rest? Here are a few tips to make sure you catch the eye of potential buyers during the busy season!
1. Tour Other For-Sale Homes
Go ahead and check out other homes that are similar to yours. Open houses are the BEST way to see what the competition may be for your home. As you are preparing to list, use these tours to see what decor and design-types are attractive to you and potential buyers. Even though you may not have the large backyard, that doesn't mean you can't enjoy entertaining outdoors. Make the most of your patio and turn it into a paradise. Here are some tips for how to decorate small spaces for outdoor entertaining.

It is time to give your lawn some attention before the summer months kick in. Here are a few tips to turn your yard into a beautiful lush oasis and not the mess it may be at this time.
Get out and rake to remove any dead grass, old Fall leaves, or winter debris. Make sure you invest in a rake that will remove the larger items. Raking will expose any patches that may need attention and helps to prepare the soil for reseeding.
Have you ever seen the small uniform holes throughout a yard and wonder what the purpose for them were? Those plugs come from an aerator that has metal tines to pull out the soil in order for more soil drainage. This helps increase the ...

Perhaps most homebuyers wouldn’t care, but you’ll never know. You might come across one such health-conscious buyer, so be sure to point out any health-related upgrades you’ve done. Just like with maintaining our bodies’ well-being, we can control what comes into and what is used within our homes to help our families achieve a healthy lifestyle. And even if you don’t sell your house, the following easy projects will be worth it for your body.
1. Keep Your Kitchen Clean
The kitchen is the soul of our homes because it is a room where families often come together. Therefore, it is important to make it as healthy as possible. Now, I’m not referring to purchasing a juicer and filling up your pantry with healthy snacks. There are many ways to create a more nourishing kitchen.
Start with your tap water. According to a study by the Natural Resources Defense Council published in 2017, nearly 77 million people in the U.S. were served by communit ...
